Try the real panel. No repo. No card. Give the panel a try

Deploy your first app

After signing up, pick the path that matches how you work today.

Option A — upload (fastest, no git)

  1. Open Dashboard or Apps → New app
  2. Drop a .zip or .tar.gz of your project (or use the dashboard upload area)
  3. Watch the live deploy log — we detect your stack and provision a URL

No GitHub, OAuth, or webhooks required. Ship updates with Deploy or upload a new archive under Edit app.

Option B — sample app (try the panel first)

  1. Open Dashboard
  2. Click Deploy sample app
  3. Watch the live deploy log — health check hits /up

This ships a built-in Rails or Node demo on a hosted subdomain. No git required.

Option C — git HTTPS URL

  1. Apps → New app → Git URL — paste an HTTPS clone URL and branch
  2. Check Deploy immediately after creating
  3. Use Deploy on the app page whenever you want to ship again

Public repos work with a plain URL. Private repos need either a token embedded in the URL or git connected in Settings.

Option D — git OAuth (optional, push-to-deploy)

  1. Settings — connect GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket
  2. Apps → New app — pick repo and branch, enable Auto-deploy on git push
  3. We register webhooks — pushes to your production branch redeploy automatically

Repo requirements

Most frameworks deploy without extra setup. TycoonBox detects your stack and runs the right build and start commands.

  • Health check — expose /up (Rails 8 apps include this by default). Deploys wait until it returns success.
  • Public git — the panel clones your repo at deploy time; private repos need a token in the URL or git connected in Settings.
  • Release command — migrations and one-off prep belong in release command or tycoonbox.json (see tycoonbox.json manifest).

Review apps

Enable Auto-deploy PRs/MRs as review apps on git-connected apps with OAuth. Each pull request gets an isolated preview URL; merged or closed PRs are torn down automatically.

After deploy

  • Env vars — set from the app page; changes apply to the running app
  • Databases — add Postgres from the app page
  • Custom domains — add on the app page; TLS is provisioned on deploy
  • Notifications — paste a Slack or Discord webhook in Settings for deploy alerts
